Jon Hamm reportedly scoops up this minimal Los Feliz pad

Lots of wood and white

If someone were to plant a Kinfolk magazine in fertile soil, and water it well, this is the house that would sprout up.

Its au courant good looks did not go unnoticed. Variety reports that Mad Men star Jon Hamm purchased the Los Feliz property via “an inscrutable trust.”

Practically newly-built, the two-story home measures approximately 3,600 square feet and backs up to a hillside. A recent renovation and expansion of the home was so comprehensive, the house is a radically different structure.

On the first floor, its facade is wrapped in cedar. Inside, it’s minimal but warm. Engineered oak floors run throughout the house. In the kitchen, oak cabinets and white marble accents mix with high-end stainless steel appliances. The den holds a wet bar and French doors that open to the outside.

The dining room is equipped with a set of accordion-fold doors that open to the backyard, where there’s a new saltwater pool, a redwood deck, and an outdoor dining area.

All four bedrooms are located upstairs; three have their own ensuite bathrooms. The master bedroom holds a cement-tiled fireplace, a large bathroom with a circular soaking tub, and a walk-in closet.

Variety says Hamm paid over $3 million to make this place his own.
