Famed Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie has purchased a slightly fussy residence in the guard-gated Brentwood Circle neighborhood, reports Trulia. The house draws its inspiration from “the villas of Provence, France,” says the real estate listing website, and contains about 5,500 square feet of living space.

Hardwood floors with antique French pavers run throughout the house. Handcrafted wooden beams extend from the ceiling in the kitchen and living room.

The kitchen has been enhanced with a large limestone center island and custom cabinets. Each of the house’s four bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms, outfitted with marble and Baccarat crystal faucets (just like in the villas of Provence).

The rear yard is connected to the interior via French doors. The house is landscaped with a picturesque garden and a saltwater pool.

McVie paid $6.775 million for the home. He also owns a property in Hawaii, and another in West Hollywood. (He’s come a long way from the “modest Laurel Canyon home” he was sharing with his then-wife Christine back in 1974.)

Whether it’s a coincidence or not, McVie’s former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham lives nearby in Brentwood, too.
