Los Feliz’s Laughlin Park is a posh, gated enclave that’s been a celebrity favorite for decades. WC Fields and Cecil B. DeMille once called the community home, and Kristen Stewart and Natalie Portman have owned here, too.
In the neighborhood, this revamped Spanish-style estate was built in 1927, but it doesn’t look its age at all. The five-bedroom house has been redesigned by Xorin Balbes, who restored Lloyd Wright’s nearby Sowden House.
The living room features lofty ceilings, original, exposed wood beams and a statement vintage fireplace. In the formal dining room, French doors open to a picturesque interior courtyard.
There are two master suites, one upstairs and one downstairs—and 11 bathrooms. And, of course, because no high-end home would be complete without them, the estate has an in-home theater, a gym and sauna, and a wine wall.

The house also holds a rare amenity that many Angelenos would maim for: From its position just south of Los Feliz Avenue, the residence features, “views of the Observatory from nearly every room,” boasts the listing copy.
The house last sold in in 2015 for just over $2.3 million, public records show. Now, fully refreshed, it is asking $10.75 million.
