Located on “one of the most advantageous sites in Hollywoodland,” this residence dates to 1932. It’s been updated since then, but the three-bedroom house still retains a 1930s air, thanks to some original and period elements.

It’s outfitted with beamed ceilings, fine woodwork, handwrought ironwork, and original tile. The living room contains a stone fireplace; the house also holds a formal dining room, and a kitchen with a butcher block center island.

The property has had its share of celebrity owners. Past owners have included Kathy Bates and Bela Lugosi, who lived here in the mid-1930s before moving into the house next door, says a rep for Sotheby’s International Realty. Celebrity connections or not, this is a prize. On the official Sotheby’s listing, the house is listed as “price upon request.” Redfin says it is asking $2.997 million.
