Here we go again: Another new building—a mixed user with housing and retail—is proposed for Downtown LA’s Arts District.
Plans filed Thursday with the city call for 140 live and work condos above 14,749 square feet of commercial space at an industrially-zoned property at 641 South Imperial Street, just around the corner from restaurants Little Bear and Church and State.
The developer, Adam Lindemann, is requesting a zoning and height district change, as the building would sprout up to just shy of 149 feet. It’d also come with 162 parking spaces in a four-level underground garage.
By our count, there are at least 19 other real estate development projects in the works in the Arts District right now.
