The holidays are upon us and trees around the city have been illuminated with lights and nearly every available light post adorned with a wreath or festive banner.
The decorations are pretty enough at ground level, but from above they really sparkle.
That’s the idea behind this neatly edited drone video, anyway. Put together by Youtube user Mingomatic, it shows familiar attractions like The Grove, the Manhattan Beach Pier, and Grand Park all festooned with lights and other cheery decorations.
Also seen: the extravagant Christmas light displays in the Eagle Hills neighborhood of Brea (and the equally mesmerizing crawl of traffic they create). There are even a few nice shots of the Venice Christmas Boat Parade—one of LA’s most singular holiday traditions.
