Another hotel is in the works for Westlake. Developers are planning to take out a one-story building (apparently in use now as an adult daycare facility) and replace it with a six-story, 150-room hotel, a planning filing for the project shows.
The hotel's first floor would have 7,000 square feet of space for a restaurant. Parking would be provided via three levels of parking, two of which will be underground. The hotel would rise at 2001 West Olympic Boulevard, near South Alvarado Street.
The developer is listed on the filing as an LLC called Live DTLA.
This is not the first hotel proposed for Westlake. Over by MacArthur Park, a flashy project would include converting a 14-story office building into a hotel and building a 41-story apartment tower next to it.
