Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. We've found five rentals within $100 of today’s price, $1,500.

This Hollywood studio apartment sits a few blocks away from the Red Line’s Hollywood and Highland station. The apartment oozes Old Hollywood glamour, with its chandelier, wainscotting, and cute vintage exterior. It rents for $1,515.

Here we’ve got a Burbank one-bedroom in the equestrian Rancho area, just across the river from Griffith Park. The apartment has new windows, a formal dining room, and laundry hook-ups. The apartment comes with a shared garage, and it rents for $1,495.

Over in the northern end of Koreatown, this one-bedroom comes with gated parking, new tile, a walk-in closet, and ceiling fans. It rents for $1,575.

Attention Dodger fans: This Echo Park studio offers 425 square feet of space on Vin Scully Avenue. The unit offers hardwood flooring and one parking spot. It rents for $1,450.

The two-bedroom up for grabs in a West Adams duplex has granite counters, two parking spaces, and stainless steel appliances—but no laundry. It rents for $1,400.
