As the multi-towered Metropolis project continues construction in South Park, we’re getting a peek at its not one—but eight—penthouses.
In the days of yore, the word “penthouse” was used to describe what was most often a lone rooftop apartment. But as developers look to maximize prized rooftop space, more and more buildings are starting to feature multiple penthouses.
Metropolis developer Greenland USA released new images of its penthouses Thursday. They’re located in the project’s first residential tower, which opened to residents in December.
Available in two-bedroom and 2.5-bath and three-bedroom and 3.5-bath floorplans, the units range in size from roughly 1,700 to 3,500 square feet. All are two-level, townhome-type dwellings.
They’re set apart from the apartments on the 38-story tower’s other levels because of their “larger proportioned spaces” and higher-end finishes, including wood cabinets, Miele appliances, Caesarstone counters, and luxurious white marble bathrooms, according to Greenland.
The new penthouses are priced between $3.5 and $6.9 million.
Metropolis has two remaining residential towers, rising 40 and 56 stories, under construction now. They are scheduled to open in 2018 and 2019, respectively. The project’s hotel, a Hotel Indigo, opened earlier this year.
