Paligroup is planning two Los Angeles-area openings by the end of next year, the budding boutique hotel chain announced today.
The company already operates Palihouses (its “luxury-suited” brand) in West Hollywood and Santa Monica, as well as a Palihotel (the “younger, more nimble” and affordable brand) on Melrose.
In walkable Westwood, the former Claremont Hotel will become the 54-room Palihotel Westwood Village. The hotel’s vibe will be “a mix of mid-century modern with Parisian eclecticism set in a historic building.” The new hotel is expected to open there in the summer of 2018.
A second Palihotel is planned in the heart of downtown Culver City, right behind the city’s ArcLight Theater and a short jaunt from the Expo Line. The 49-room hotel will feature a restaurant and bar that nod to the area’s cinema history as well as “Culver City’s booming, modern-day tech scene.” The look of this Palihotel will be “modern and urban with bohemian, French influences throughout.” It’s expected to open in the fall of 2018.
