Ellen Degeneres buys lavish beachfront mansion near Santa Barbara for $18.6M

It’s been a minute since talk show host Ellen Degeneres reminded the world that she’s a casual collector of cool houses, but now she’s jogging our memories: Ellen has dropped $18.6 million on this oceanfront mansion right on the sand in the sleepy beach town of Carpinteria, TMZ reports.

Located a bit south of Santa Barbara and far away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, this expansive five-bedroom home has a shingled exterior that hides wide open rooms, high ceilings, and endless windows.

The master bedroom features an enormous closet with a fireplace, an incredible bathroom, an office, and sleeping quarters, all of which get their own stellar views of the Pacific Ocean.

The house shares the approximately one-acre property with a one-bedroom guest house, a tennis court, and a large deck that looks out onto the sand and surf.

Ellen isn’t new to the area. Right now, she’s trying to sell her huge estate in ritzy Montecito. The property, which includes a gorgeous Italian-inspired villa, comes with a $45 million price tag.
