Trigger Warning: This is about bedbugs. If you’ve ever taken your entire wardrobe to the laundromat in one sitting, weeping quietly about the status of your bedding, please close the browser window now. The risk of phantom bug bites is high.

In what is perhaps a most dubious honor, Los Angeles officially ranks as one of the top 10 worst cities in America for bedbug infestations, reports KTLA. According to a study just released by pest control company Orkin, Los Angeles ranks sixth amongst the 50 cities in America with the highest cases of bedbugs.

If there is a silver lining to be put on all of this, the number of bedbug infestations is actually down in LA, according to Orkin. Last year, Los Angeles was ranked second in the nation for bedbugs.
