This vacation rental in Cahuenga Pass looks straight out of a fairytale

The restored two-bedroom cottage has a Juliet balcony and tons of charm

This adorable home with a turret looks like the kind of place a Disney princess would call home. The VRBO listing even says it's, "rumored that this cottage was used as the inspiration for Snow White's cottage in Disney's 1937 film!"

The two-bedroom, storybook house in the Cahuenga Pass has been in the same family since 1930, but was recently restored and revamped. But the house hasn't been gutted by any means—many of the original features are intact, and the interior is just as fanciful as the exterior.

Swing open the green front door to find refurbished hardwood floors, a Juliet balcony, a stone fireplace, a "rustic" kitchen outfitted with fancy Bosch appliances, and a stone staircase. Diamond-paned glass windows and curved doorways underscore the whimsical feel of the place.

Getting to the cottage involves descending, "72 steps down into the canyon and through a garden oasis." The grounds also include stone-paved walkways, a "serenity waterfall," and a fish pond, plus a modern gas barbecue.

The average nightly price shown on VRBO before entering any booking dates is $306 a night, but plugging in a few combinations of dates in the coming months turned up average rates closer to $350 per night.
