Venice House by MOCA Architect Arata Isozaki Asks $5.2M

The lofty beachfront property was previously owned by Eric Clapton

Commissioned by art collector Teresa Bjornson in the eighties, this new listing in Venice is the only private residence designed in the U.S. by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, who also designed Los Angeles' MOCA. The two-story house’s other claim to fame is that from the late ‘90s to about 2004, it was owned by legendary guitarist Eric Clapton.

On a 3,524-square-foot lot a few steps from the beach, the gated property features two bedrooms, two baths, an open-plan living room with 30-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, furniture designed by artist Klaus Rinke, a 600-square-foot patio, and parking for four cars. Asking price is $5.195 million.
