A Beverly Hills hilltop that was previously the site of a Craftsman-style house owned by the actor James Woods has given way to a sprawling contemporary with a healthy price tag.
A rep for listing agent Jesse Lally says the newly completed house was initially planned as the home of the developer John Saca, but he ultimately decided to sell. The Wall Street Journal says Saca bought the property, which measures a little over one acre, in 2013 for $8.5 million.
According to marketing information, the house measures approximately 15,000 square feet, including a 2,200-square-foot master suite, seven full bathrooms and three half bathrooms. The interiors look luxurious: The teak wood for "sliding glass doors and finishes" alone cost $2.5 million.
The six-bedroom estate features a separate "entertainment pavilion," fire pits and an outdoor fireplace, and a 200-foot hillside infinity pool. The house also has its own 22-seat home theater and an 850-square-foot art gallery. The works on display in the gallery include pieces by Andy Warhol and a Picasso; they are all for sale, but are not factored into the list price.
The mansion is listed for $48 million and includes the house’s "Italian furnishings and three stocked bars."
