Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. Our friends at Zumper have helped us out with five listings within $100 of today's price: $1,300.

↑ Just off Lincoln Heights’s major artery, Broadway, this renovated studio apartment, "is convenient to everything and has a walk score of 90." Inside, it’s decked out with fancy new cabinets, plus a new stove, fridge, and dishwasher. Rent is $1,295.

↑ This one-bedroom apartment in a nice little courtyard-type complex in Harvard Heights is really proud of its breakfast nook and in-unit laundry. (The listing mentions them three times.) It also has cute built-in shelves in the kitchen and a bedroom ceiling fan. Rent is $1,300.

↑ Just off Santa Monica near Bundy, this Sawtelle studio apartment has a small kitchen and a newish-looking bathroom. The building boasts a policy of pet-friendliness. Though there’s no mention of the parking available to tenants, the listing does mention that the apartment has "easy access to bus lines." Rent is $1,395.

↑ Valley living! This one-bedroom in Sherman Oaks has hardwood floors, at least two ceiling fans (only wall-mounted air conditioning, though), and some snazzy countertops in its galley-style kitchen. The apartment building has on-site laundry, and offers one parking space along with this apartment. Rent is $1,395.

↑ Just south of Melrose, this one-bedroom apartment comes with a parking spot, a bedroom ceiling fan, hardwood floors, and a cozy kitchen. The unit comes with one parking spot, and the complex has a communal pool. Rent is $1,400.
