Is a one-bedroom in Culver City better than a two-bedroom in WeHo?

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. Our friends at Zumper have helped us out with five listings within $100 of today's price: $2,050.

↑ This renovated Culver City one-bedroom sits on an upper floor in the front of this apartment's complex. It comes with hardwood floors, one reserved parking spot for a price ($100/month), and on-site laundry. It rents for $1,950.

↑ Equidistant from the Grove and the Silent Movie Theater on Fairfax, this Beverly Grove one-bedroom apartment features a decorative fireplace, a large office that could be used as a second bedroom, and, at 1,050 square feet, lots of space. There's no reserved parking but there is "abundant" street parking. Rent is $1,995.

↑ One of eight units in the courtyard-style complex, this Silver Lake one bedroom has one shared wall. Inside, there's a closet off the living room that could be turned into a "cloffice" (closet-office). The best part? The in-unit washer and dryer. Pets are allowed, and rent is $1,995.

↑ This Sherman Oaks apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which isn't always a given. Other amenities include central air conditioning and heat, a pet-friendly policy, a dishwasher, on-site laundry machines, and pool access. Rent is $1,995 and includes two parking spots.

↑ The most important thing about this West Hollywood two-bedroom apartment is that it rents for about 44 percent less than the median cost of a two-bedroom in WeHo. It has hardwood floors, assigned parking, and only one bathroom. Rent is $2,150.
