Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. Our friends at Zumper have helped us out with five pet-friendly listings within $100 of today's price: $1,450.

↑ The Koreatown building has lots of Art Deco detailing in its apartments, and this top-floor studio is no exception. The cat- and dog-friendly unit measures about 650 square feet and feels extra spacious thanks to 12-foot-high ceilings. The kitchen has three good-sized windows and room to set up a dining table. The apartment rents for $1,425.

↑ Pets are welcom at this Sherman Oaks studio apartment. The unit comes with central air conditioning, reserved parking, on-site laundry, wood floors, and access to a pool (where pets are probably not allowed). Rent is $1,425.

↑ This Hollywood apartment on Sunset near WeHo has a high walk score, meaning more possible errands to run with your pooch. The studio unit here has a renovated kitchen and bathroom, a walk-in closet, and parking for tenants. Rent is $1,450.

↑ This Northridge studio is only cat-friendly (sorry, dogs), but it does have air conditioning (wall-mounted) and on-site laundry. The unit has a slim, galley-style kitchen and appears to include a fridge. Rent is $1,395.

↑ This Glendale studio apartment boasts new laminate floors, ceiling fans in all the rooms, a renovated kitchen, and assigned parking for tenants. It’s a short drive or a good walk to the main drag Glendale Galleria and the Americana are located. Rent is $1,495.
