Watch West Hollywood's Robot Parking Garage Rise in Time-Lapse

New, 1 comment

This garage is the future

After a few years in the making, West Hollywood's cars will soon be parking in the future—in a cool, robot garage where a series of lifts and rolling dollies move the cars into an appropriate, open parking spot (no more SUVs cramming into that compact spot). It will be the first municipal robot parking garage built on the West Coast.

The garage opens tomorrow with a big grand opening party, but a new video out from WeHo takes us back in time to see the 200-car garage rise from a dirt lot into the parking facility of the future.

The garage has four entry bays at the street level and once a driver enters and takes a ticket, the garage and its robots take it from there. A car's-eye view can be found here.
