The Australian actor known for his role as Thor in the movie of the same name and in the Avengers films has locked down a new pad in Malibu, reports Trulia. Though Hemsworth and his wife, actress Elsa Pataky, made a very public move to his native Australia earlier this year, they are apparently not giving up on LA entirely.
Their boxy, new $3.45-million house comes in at about 4,600 square feet. The kitchen has prime views of the surrounding hillsides, comes stocked with pricey appliances, and is outfitted with quartz counters and a 750-bottle wine cellar. The kitchen and adjoining family area opens onto a well-appointed outdoor dining area and patio with a built-in barbecue.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom house includes a luxurious master bedroom with two walk-in closets and "Calcutta gold marble baths and showers."
Hemsworth, who's soon to appear in the upcoming Ghostbusters movie (as the receptionist), and Pataky are in the midst of selling their previous residence, a larger Point Dume house. His brother, Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth, also lives in Malibu, and Liam's on-again, off-again girlfriend Miley Cyrus recently moved to the neighborhood, too.
