Early Glass House by Ed Niles in Beachwood Canyon Asking $2.8 Million

New, 4 comments

Completed in 1966, the glassy modern was the architect's first completed residential design

Architect Ed Niles is nothing if not consistent. Back in 1966, long before gifting the cliffs of Malibu and ridges of Beverly Hills with his monumental glass pavilions, Niles whipped up this more modest tribute to Windex in the Hollywood Hills. Last sold a mere nine months ago for $2.55 million, the Beachwood Canyon residence has just popped up on the market again sporting a fancy new kitchen and baths, and a fancy new asking price of $2.779 million. Sited on an 8,622-square-foot lot with canyon and city lights views, the three-bedroom modern is hosting open house Sunday, April 3, between 2 and 5 p.m.
