Los Angeles is in a constant state of transformation—from suburban sprawl turning into urban density to the house-flipping bonanza to the shifting attitude toward public spaces. Transforming the places and cities we inhabit is integral to the human condition. At some point in our lives we've all renovated something, and we know you have stories!
Next week Curbed is running its first-ever Renovation Week, and we want to see and hear about your renovation experiences. Whether you've given your apartment a facelift, overhauled your decor (now everything is midcentury modern), turned your weed-filled yard into a stunning garden, or seen your favorite park transform, we would like you to share it with us, before and after.
What were the challenges you faced? Did your contractor quit halfway through? Were you thousands of dollars over budget? Or did everything go according to your painstakingly laid out plans (ha!)? What is your favorite part of the final results? If you did it all over again, what would you change?
During Renovation Week, we'll round up the best contributions and post them right here on Curbed.
