Updated Mid-Century Flip in Mt. Washington Asking $999k

New, 5 comments

Just the right amount of wood paneling and a great fireplace

Another day, another lovely Mt. Washington house. This one, a sweet mid-century ranch-style house is approached from the curving driveway and entered through a swiss-cheesy door with little round cut-outs. But wait—haven't we seen this gem before?

We first saw this place when it hit the market last year for $590,000. It was easy to see that the dwelling was fixing to cause a bidding war, and boy, did it. Purchased in December 2015 for $770,000—$180,000 over ask—the house has gained a bedroom and some key updates throughout in the last few months.

The current listing draws attention to the house's "wood walls, large fireplace with built in bookcases and focal lighting," and notes the house's cute side yard and deck. The 1,626-square-foot house sits on an approximately 8,600-square-foot corner lot. It's asking $990,000 this time around.
