1915 Craftsman With 2013 Addition Asking $1.825 Million in Venice

New, 6 comments

Something old, something new, plus an edible garden too.

When this Venice residence last appeared on the market, in 2009, it was a humble 1915 Craftsman bungalow measuring just 926 square feet. Since then, the cottage has undergone an expansion overseen by designer Yan Krymsky, growing into a three-bedroom measuring 1,652 square feet.

While the old section of the bungalow retains its original built-in cabinetry, wood floors, and hardware, the 2013 addition is significantly fancier, boasting concrete floors with radiant heat, Ann Sachs tiles, "telescoping doors," Axor and Graff fixtures, and Thermadore Masterpiece appliances.

The 5,849-square-foot property also contains a converted garage/studio and "edible garden" with apple, lemon, lime, plum, apricot, and fig trees. Asking price is $1.825 million, and open houses are scheduled Sunday, March 6 between 1 and 4 p.m. and Tuesday, March 8 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
