Moby Buys a Lovely Los Feliz House Next to the One He Already Owns

The architecture-loving, vegan musician spent $3.4 million to lock down the stately 1926 mansion

Musician, architecture enthusiast, and vegan cuisine evangelist Moby has had some cool Los Angeles houses. In the fall of 2014, he sold a fantastic estate called Wolf's Lair (yes, it was just as cool as its nickname suggests) in the Hollywood Hills; when a friend made him an offer he couldn't refuse on that house, he moved on to a sweet pad in the ritzy Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood, near Fern Dell Park. Now, Trulia reports that he's also purchased the house next door to his newish Los Feliz house—a stately 1926 mansion with five bedrooms and a swimming pool in the front yard.

The 4,464-square-foot house includes a living room with some intense groin-vaulted ceilings, lots of hardwood floors throughout, a 1,500-square-foot deck off the family room, and a master bedroom with a fireplace and two bathrooms. Another one of the bedrooms has a fun loft accessible via what looks to be a set of captain's stairs, while the designated guest bedroom features a high, bleached wood ceiling—every bedroom's a winner.

The house was listed in early February for $3.495 million. Listing sites Redfin and Zillow show that the sale closed earlier this month for an even $3.4 million, meaning that Moby got a bit of a discount.
