Checking out apartments in the NoHo Arts District, Burbank, and more

Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. We're looking at rentals in the Valley within $100 of today's price: $2,000.

↑ Right in the NoHo Arts District, this two-bedroom apartment has high living room ceilings, a dishwasher, central air conditioning, two full bathrooms, and its own balcony. Rent is $2,000.

↑ This Encino apartment measures about 1,100 square feet and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus laminate wood floors, central air conditioning (look at those sweet, sweet vents!), and two parking spaces assigned to it. There are also two walk-in closets. Rent is $2,100.

↑ Located across the street from the Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, the two-bedroom apartment up for grabs here has one bathroom, on-site laundry, a new fridge, and new carpet, but it looks like there's wall-mounted air conditioning only. Rent is $2,050.

↑ First off, that cool rock fireplace sets this Sherman Oaks place leaps and bounds ahead of the pack. This one bedroom has one and a half bathrooms, a dishwasher, and access to the building's on-site laundry facilities. There's also pool access and one garage parking spot. Rent is $1,995.

↑ This remodeled, "Condo Quality" one-bedroom in Studio City has its own washer and dryer, a private balcony, and a fair amount of closet space. Rent is $1,950.
