Come Tour Oprah's New 23-Acre Horse Property in Montecito

Oprah's adding to her holdings in fancy Montecito, the wealthy coastal
community next door to Santa Barbara. The media and lifestyle mogul dropped $28.85 million in December on a property called Seamair Farm—an equestrian estate that hadn't been on the market in 40 years. Variety reports that the 23.26-acre Seamair borders the 40 acres Winfrey already owns, and contains a one-story, Ranch-style main house (approximately 5,000 square feet) designed by Cliff May, an avocado orchard, fruit orchards, horse stables, and a pool. Since Winfrey already has a huge mansion on her property next door, it's pretty unlikely she'll be moving in here, but who knows.

The Seamair property also has two private wells, the listing notes. This might be particularly attractive to Oprah, seeing as how her existing 40-acre estate (which she calls the Promised Land) seems to need so much water that she's resorted at times to trucking it in from elsewhere on a daily schedule. (She's hardly the only Montecito resident who trucked in water during the drought, though.)
