Scrapping the plans for the modest seven-story mixed-user on this Koreatown site, major office landlords Jamison Services have instead decided to go big. Like, 32 stories big. Urbanize LA reports that Jamison is now envisioning a mixed-use complex that involves a 14-story tower and a 32-story tower. The project would take up pretty much half the block between Sixth Street and Wilshire Boulevard along South Ardmore Avenue—just west of The Line Hotel.
Along with the towers, Jamison would build a six-level structure for parking, and almost 32,000 square feet of retail space at street level. The complex would hold a total of 428 units, all just across the street from the Purple Line's Wilshire/Normandie stop. ULA says that the property that would give way to the new towering development currently holds a couple of stubby office buildings (including one that houses the hangover-helping Bonjuk Korean porridge shop) and a parking lot.
