Welcome to this week's installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various LA 'hoods. We're looking at rentals within $100 of today's price: $1,350.
↑ This one-bedroom in Koreatown is in a bustling 'hood, but a bit removed from the main drag over at Normandie and Wilshire. The 700-square-foot unit rents for $1,375 a month, and comes with real hardwood floors, a relatively spacious kitchen, pool access, and on-site laundry. However, the complex only has street parking available.
↑ This Westchester one-bedroom is 32 percent less than the median one-bedroom in the neighborhood, but that might be because it's an older building and probably gets a good amount of planes overhead. The upstairs unit is asking $1,400.
↑ In Hollywood, $1,400 gets you a one-bedroom just a couple blocks away from the Hollywood Forever cemetery and its outdoor movie screenings. The apartment has parking, a fridge, and on-site laundry.
↑ Cat owners take note of this one-bedroom, feline-friendly unit in Valley Glen. The newly remodeled apartment has central air conditioning and a dishwasher. It rents for $1,375.
↑ There's no air conditioning or on-site laundry in this Historic Filipinotown one-bedroom, but there is a kitchen with a stove and fridge, a slim private balcony, and a shared back patio. It rents for $1,400.
