Built in 1961, this house hit the market for the first time ever back in early October. While it was certainly not without its problems, it also looked to be an excellent opportunity for a period-sensitive restoration/remodel. After selling for $530,000 on November 25, what it got, alas, was a soul-sucking flip job in which its best features—the groovy stained-glass foyer window, the built-in console at the entry, the wood beams—got stripped out or drowned in white paint. Oh well, at least the bathroom no longer seems to have a toilet in the shower.
