Measuring just over 5,500 square feet, the house is described as marrying the look of an East Coast country home with the Southern California tradition of blurring the lines between the inside and the outside. Many of the rooms on the ground floor feature French doors that open up to the grass yard.

Beamed and pitched ceilings run throughout the house. The spacious kitchen has a center island, a farmhouse sink, and a large cooking range.

The dwelling’s master bedroom features dual closets and bathrooms, plus a fireplace. The residence holds three other bedroom suites, plus a maid’s room, and a bonus room (potentially a home office or studio) with a its own entrance.

The stately house sits on a 1.5-acre lot that also holds a tennis court, a swimming pool, and several patios.

Like pretty much any residence in the posh parts of town, this house has been owned by at least one celebrity: The Upton-Verlanders new home was formerly the residence of tennis pro Pete Sampras.
