Remodeled Craftsman flip in Highland Park asking $949K

Something old, a lot new

This two-story Craftsman in Highland Park’s Aldama Heights section is kind of like a reverse Dorian Gray. On the outside, it looks like your classic early-1900s Craftsman (the towering pine tree in the front yard also does its part to reinforce that impression). Its interior, however, looks like it was born closer to yesterday than yesteryear.

Per the listing, the remodeled 2,107-square-foot residence has three bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining room, sun room, and a “Craftsman-inspired vintage kitchen.” Features include hardwood floors “through the majority of the house,” crown molding, a brick fireplace, built-in bookcases, “vintage replica” light fixtures, and glass door knobs.

The newly redone residence occupies a 7,084-square-foot lot. Asking price is $949,000, and open house will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
