Hollywood’s Dream Hotel is gearing up for its opening, scheduled for January 2017, and we’re getting a quick peek at what’s to come. New photos offer a brief glimpse inside the 179-room hotel on Selma Avenue near Cahuenga Boulevard.
The location is Dream’s first West Coast outpost.
The 10-story hotel will have a double-height lobby, a 11,000-square-foot rooftop with a pool, and two onsite restaurants, including a wildly cool-looking outpost of Tao. The hotel will also have a cool pedestrian alleyway along the ground level that will help the hotel link up to surrounding eateries and attractions.
Renderings show that the alleyway will be decorated and lightly landscaped; for added charm, the alleyway will have cobblestones, the chief development officer for Dream Hotel said in an interview with The Real Deal last month.
The hotel’s design comes from heavyweights Rockwell Group, which also designed the private coworking club Neuehouse in Hollywood’s Columbia Square project.
The Dream Hotel is one of more than a dozen hotels headed for Hollywood in the coming years. In fact, there’s another hotel coming to this very block, right next door to the Dream.
