Take a video tour through Atelier, Downtown’s newest residential tower

33 stories and 363 apartments

Carmel Partners’s 33-story tower at Olive and 8th streets is in the final stretch of construction, and pre-leasing is expected to start next month with the first move-ins anticipated in February 2017. When complete, the luxury tower will hold 363 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus penthouses. Called Atelier, it faces Eighth and Grand, another Carmel Partners project that has a Whole Foods attached to it.

A newly re-released fly-through video shows how Atelier fits into the South Park neighborhood. It also shows off the apartment interiors and communal spaces and amenities. Atelier tenants will have access to a fifth-floor amenity deck with Olympic lap pool, a “yoga terrace,” and a 20-person screening room.

An announcement from Carmel says the apartments in the Solomon Cordwell Buenz-designed tower will range in size from 466 to 1,842 square feet. All units will have Nest thermostats, washers and dryers, and high-end stainless steel appliances. (Pricing info has not yet been released).

The tower will also feature 9,900 square feet of “carefully curated retail space” on its ground floor.

Atelier will have some tall company in this part of town. Also at 8th and Olive, Canadian developer Onni is building a 50-story residential tower that looks a bit like a giant Bic lighter.
