Developer Hartsook Grand, LLC is looking to bring residential density and some affordable apartments within walking distance to the neighborhood's arts district and just down the street from Metro’s North Hollywood Red and Orange Line stops.
Several single family homes located at 11106-11118 West Hartsook Street, near the corner of Lankershim and Magnolia Boulevards, will be knocked down to make way for a new five-story apartment complex reports, Urbanize LA.
The 61,793 square foot complex will hold 61 rental units in total, mostly one- and two-bedrooms, but also a handful of studios and six three-bedroom units, plus 87 parking spots. Amenities will include a landscaped rooftop patio, courtyard, and a "side yard dog run."
According to an October CRA/LA report, Hartsook Grand has agreed to include seven units designated for very low income tenants, one unit with "mobility accessibility features," and one unit with "hearing/vision accessibility Features" in exchange for building denser than what the zoning code allows for the site.
No dates or timeline have been announced for construction of the project.
