Revealed: $839K for a glassy La Habra Heights ranch house

A few people guessed the price exactly

In our latest round of Pricespotter, we asked you to guess the price of this 1961 modern-style ranch house in La Habra Heights. We thought the location might make this one a bit more challenging, but several readers were apparently well-acquainted with the eastern LA County real estate market—so familiar, in fact, that no less than three commenters nailed the price exactly.

That’s particularly impressive given that the price was $839,000 (not exactly a round number). Now, we’re going to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and assume that this house just had $839,000 written all over it, but this seems like a good time to remind everyone not to cheat. That includes giving an answer if you’ve seen the listing and remember the price.

Anyway, the first person to chime in with the correct answer was BingoWest, so there’s your winner for the week. We also have to give a shoutout to J Yard, who went so far as to wonder about an extension cord in the listing photos when assessing the value of the house. That’s the kind of rigorous examination we like to see!

For those who would like to see this home in person, realtor Nate Cole notes that there will be an open house 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Thanks for playing and join us next Thursday for another challenge.
