What/Where: A three-bedroom, two-bath home in La Habra Heights
Square Footage: 1,932 square feet
Lot Size: One acre
We’re heading east for this round of Pricespotter—off to the wide open, sidewalkless spaces of La Habra Heights. Here, right on the border of Orange County, is a very intriguing modern residence self-designed in 1961 by architect James H. Krueger. The glassy ranch home certainly seems to draw on Cliff May’s influential rancho houses for inspiration, featuring some impressive beamed and vaulted ceilings and plenty of indoor-outdoor access.
The latter element is especially nice given the home’s lush surroundings and excellent views of the valley below. Decks and patios surround the property, while its front door is accessed by an impressive stone staircase surrounded by foliage.
Other features of the home include polished concrete floors, an open floor plan, freestanding living room fireplace, and a master bathroom that’s been updated with Pomona tilework.
So, how much do you think this home is asking? Let us know!
