Charting the 10 priciest one-bedroom condos in Los Angeles

Four are in the same complex

Luxury condos might not have the classic appeal of a good old fashioned mansion in the Hollywood Hills, but there are a few in Los Angeles that cost nearly as much. NeighborhoodX has compiled a list of the most expensive one-bedroom condos on the market right now, and all are asking more than $1 million.

Leading the pack is a $3.2 million unit in West Hollywood’s celebrity-laden Sierra Towers. At 1,151 square feet, it’s comfortably sized, but not overwhelmingly spacious for a one-bedroom. Located on the 16th floor, the views will certainly be a big selling point. And after $3.2 million, buyers might not even notice the $1,686 per month HOA dues.

Coming in second, third, fourth, and sixth on the list are four units in Santa Monica’s Ocean Towers. One of these, a 906-square-foot penthouse unit, is being sold in conjunction with a neighboring three-bedroom unit, but the others are simply very nice condos in what a listing description rather curiously describes as an "infamous" complex.

Other condo communities making the list include the Arts District’s Biscuit Company Lofts, The Remington in Westwood, the LA-Live adjacent Ritz-Carlton Residences, and the still under-construction Metropolis complex Downtown.

Units in the latter community have been selling well for years, but some have suggested that when it’s finally finished, the project will be primarily home to wealthy business leaders and investors who aren’t likely to actually physically occupy the units very often.
