In addition to appearing in over 90 films and various television shows, veteran character actor Leo Carrillo served on California's Beach and Parks Commission for nearly two decades, which is why there's a state park in Malibu named after him. The son of Santa Monica's first mayor, Carrillo purchased a 14-acre parcel in Santa Monica Canyon in the 1930s where he built a ranch. Carrillo's estate was subdivided after his death, and evidently its barn ended up on the lot of this listing, the main house of which was built in 1978. According to public records, the one-acre property was last sold six years ago to film editors Angus Wall and Linda Carlson for $3.683 million, or just about half its current asking price.
