First Look Inside Hollywood's Future Hotspot Dream Hotel

Courtesy of Dream Hollywood

One of many new and coming hotels in the central Hollywood area, the futuristic Dream Hollywood hotel on Selma near Cahuenga is gearing up for its opening this summer. New renderings of the structure (via an official release) give a peek at one of the 179 guest rooms inside the 10-story hotel, the double-height lobby, and the landscaped "public alley" that will link up the five eateries and nightlife spots in and adjacent to the hotel. (Killefer Flammang is no longer on the project, as previously written.)

One thing the renderings don't show is the eleventh-floor, 11,000-square-foot rooftop with a pool and a nightclubby venue that will be topped with a retractable roof. (They're not just keeping all this fun to the guests; the roof with have both private and public entries.) As for parking at this future hotspot, developer Five Chairs used bike parking credits to trim underground parking spots from 107 down to 65 (plus some additional spaces in an off-site lot). UPDATE 1/21: A rep for the project tells us that the number of parking spaces is still being determined.

Heavy hitter Rockwell Group has signed on to "design [the] narrative" for the hotel; they've recently wrapped up work on the trendy coworking space NeueHouse not far away, in the new, mixed-use Columbia Square redevelopment.
