Fly Through the Big-Time Progress at Mixed-Use USC Village

The last time we saw the USC Village, it was just a ton of sticks in the ground. The massive, $700-million extension of the campus is chugging along and now shows the structures starting to look like actual buildings, with "some buildings reaching their final heights and others beginning to sport their signature red-brick facades," as the video from USC shows. The Harley-Ellis-Devereaux-designed project is scheduled to open in the fall of 2017, and will eventually include a Trader Joe's, an exercise center, a "mobility hub" with public transit information, scads of retail storefronts, and five-story residence halls that will accomodate 2,700 students.
