Anyone who has ever hiked Runyon Canyon has inevitably had the same question pop in their head: What is the story with this abandoned pink house and will anyone EVER live there? The house sat unfinished for decades—beset by bankruptcies, lawsuits, vandalism, and failed attempts to sell—with nary a viable solution to the problem of the pink elephant. In 2013, a private equity firm called Fort Ashford Funds finally get a certificate of occupancy and in 2014, they appear to have sold the site in June 2014. Then this year, "Marijuana Don" came to the rescue. TMZ reports that Michael Straumietis, CEO of Advanced Nutrients (Pot) is renting the mansion for $10,000 a month to throw weekly pot parties for clients. —Jeff Wattenhofer
