Pasadena Buff & Hensman Once Owned by the Van Halen Brothers Asking $2.1 Million

New, 1 comment

Some Buff & Hensmans you can look at a photo of and guess they're Buff & Hensmans without being told; others, not so much. This Pasadena post and beam built by the illustrious modernist firm in 1951 looks very Buff & Hensman-y from the outside, while its interior is rocking a sort of contempo-Santa Fe vibe. Speaking of rocking, according to the listing, the house was "formerly owned by the Van Halen brothers." Sited on a half-acre lot just east of Eaton Canyon, it features four bedrooms, three baths, sliding glass walls, clerestory windows, a gas fireplace, a "custom stained glass window, completed in 1990 by renowned artist Judy Jansen," and a heated swimming pool with spa. Last sold in 1988 for $450,000, it's now asking $2.1 million.
