A Mid-Century Modern house as fine as this does not come on the market every day—especially in Los Feliz—and this one has been absent 30 years, but today the 1964 Stone Residence is up for sale, seeking only its third owner ever. Listing agent David Kubiczky writes in an email that architect Donald Park designed the house for Stanley Stone, founder of Echo Park's Stone Brothers furniture store (later La Popular; it closed in 2011); he says Park says the interior is original. (Looks like there have been some updates, but the gorge bones are all there.) The house is split by a "grand foyer" into a public section with a great room, sunken wetbar, and access to a covered patio; and a private end with step-down living room and bedrooms. There are all kinds of glass walls, built-ins, and "clever design elements throughout." It's asking $2.3249 million.
