The in-the-works Academy Square development is set to transform an entire city block in Hollywood, bordered by De Longpre, Homewood, Ivar, and Vine Street, with all kinds of uses (the site was once slated to house the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science's museum). This video from developers Kilroy Realty, via Urbanize LA, offers a flyover of the enormous project, which is set to have 280,000 square feet of office and retail space (maybe a market?), plus a 23-story tower along the westernmost part of the 3.5-acre site. That tower would include up to 250 apartments, though it's possible that 50 of those could be swapped out in favor of 100 hotel rooms, because Hollywood doesn't have enough of those yet.
