Pop Star Charli XCX Buys a Fanciful Tudor in Hollywoodland

British-born pop star Charli XCX—of such rollicking anthems as "I Love It" and "Boom Clap"—has purchased an English-inspired residence tucked into the Hollywoodland section of the Hollywood Hills, just below the Hollywood Sign, according to our tipsters at Trulia. "Originally conceived in 1927 and re-imagined and restored," the listing explains, the fantastical 1927 house has lumpy, artful brick fireplaces straight out of the Shire; diamond-paned glass windows; super-high beamed ceilings; hand-carved doors; and at least one bay window and original bathroom. Listed back in 2012 for $2.995 million, it went on and off the market several times over the years and saw a few price changes. Charli XCX (real name: Charlotte Aitchison) paid $2.815 million.
