Jeff and Susan Bridges are selling the ranch in Montecito that they've owned for two decades and thank god this is not one of those coy celebrity real estate listings. Jeff Bridges, perfect in True Grit, The Last Picture Show, Crazy Heart, and of course as The Dude in The Big Lebowski, is also perfect in real life, it turns out. Here are a couple things his wife Susan has told the Wall Street Journal about his relationship to the house:

· "Jeff and his beloved aloe trees … They look like Dr. Seuss plants and require very little water."
· The grounds include what she calls Mr. Bridges' 'fort'—a quiet spot with a hammock, swings and benches, where he occasionally makes pottery."

The 19.5 acres of grounds also include a body cast from The Big Lebowski.

The Bridges bought the property in 1994 from Kenny Loggins and raised their daughters there (it's been their main residence), but their daughters are grown now and they've bought a smaller place nearby. The place includes a 9,500-square-foot, five-bedroom main house built in 1988 and designed by Barry Berkus; a theater/recording studio building; two guesthouses; a "rustic playhouse" accessible via footbridge over a stream; a vineyard; a greenhouse for orchids; walking trails; a sweet-looking pool with it own kitchen, changing rooms, and bath; lots of mature trees; and that aloe collection. They're asking $29.5 million.
