NoHo Getting 300 New Apartments Not Far From the Red/Orange Line Station

The NoHo Arts District is certainly seeing some development action! A big new residential project is bringing almost 300 apartments to Lankershim in the NoHo Arts District, right across the street from a similar under-construction residential/retail apartment building about half the size of this one. According to Urbanize LA, this new, mixed-use development less than a half mile away from the NoHo Red/Orange Line will bring 297 new apartments (25 for very low-income households) and 24,000 square feet of space for businesses on the ground floor to the corner of Lankershim and Otsego.

There will also be a parking garage with space for 570 cars, despite being so very, very close to a transit hub. The 87-foot-tall building, developed by Hayes Capital Management, will take out some stubby commercial storefronts that house a gym and a dance studio, among others.

It's probably too early to talk about pricing, but hopefully they'll be a little lower than rates at The Hesby, just a couple of blocks away. Over there, one-bedrooms around 700 square feet are starting at $2,260, according to their site.
