Studio in Santa Monica's Streamline Moderne Voss Apartments Renting for $1,895

New, 28 comments

Hailed in David Gebhard and Robert Winter's An Architectural Guidebook to Los Angeles as "exuberant Streamline Moderne," Santa Monica's Voss Apartments were built by architect E.P. Fitzgerald in 1937. Awarded historic landmark status last June, the courtyard complex contains 15 units, one of which is now up for grabs. Unfortunately, the Craigslist post for the apartment is also quite streamlined, offering no interior photos and a barebones description, calling it "upgraded, bright and clean with beautiful interior details." Monthly rent for the single unit, located two blocks south of Montana Avenue, is $1,895. $1895 Single/1Bath apt Streamline Moderne Courtyard [Craigslist]
