Fly Over the Rapidly Growing Mixed-Use USC Village

The Trader Joe's is not yet visible, but things are really coming together at the USC Village (formerly the Village at USC). Work started on the 15-acre mixed-use development in September; it will eventually bring tons of retail (including that Trader Joe's!), residences for 2,700 students, a gym, a drugstore, and more to what was once the University Village shopping center. The $650-million northern extension of the campus is moving at a good clip and has progressed considerably since we last saw the site in February, as this video from architects Harley Ellis Devereaux shows. The whole project is scheduled to open in 2017.
